Love is not a disease, it is a drug.

Plato proclaimed “Love is a disease” and I challenge that.

To me, love is the addiction, love is a drug! Love is triggered by the same part of the brain that acknowledges and triggers addiction. Love gives you a burst of energy (Caffeine) that is more than enough to make you leap into the sky. Love gives you the adrenalin rush (Epinephrine) to face intimidation or to run from it. Love sedates (Valium) you to the point of utter bliss and you fall back on your bed, with your hands behind your head and feel more at peace with your life than you ever have been. Love makes you see things in a different way, more colourful and alive (LSD) and everything looks beautiful.

Love is a drug and it is a great drug when used as prescribed.
